Most of what I make finds its basis in the landscape; an origin rooted anywhere between observation upon hands and knees in the sand to moving through it writ large. Fascinating is the speculation of footfalls long before mine. Fellow creatures that viewed the world through necessity and awe. In this lineation, I no longer differentiate between the functional and non functional. Beauty can find its way into all objects, for it is part of the same DNA and colors our lives in ways helpful to the whole. My creative process may involve, in no certain order, drawing, sculpture, writing, making skateboards and taking photos. Occasionally making music enters the mix. I live in this cycle as an antidote to the work I need to do in order to survive.
